What We Built for Borealis Foods Vyoo Brand partnered with Dotfusion to design and develop the website for Borealis Foods, a brand redefining instant ramen through food science innovation. They create high-protein, plant-based, shelf-stable meals that are nutritious, affordable, and scalable for global impact.

Their products serve diverse markets: retail consumers discovering them in 30,000+ stores (Walmart, Costco, Aldi), K-12 foodservice through their Woodles brand, and humanitarian relief organizations.

What They Needed Working closely with the brand strategy team, we identified the core requirements. The website needed to educate multiple audiences about their products and mission, reflect their commitment to food science and American manufacturing, support their team as they scaled distribution rapidly, and be manageable without constant developer support.

Critically, this wasn't an ecommerce site. Borealis Foods products are sold through major retailers. The website's job was to educate and inspire, not transact.

Our Design and Development Approach We started with design. Working from the brand strategy, we created a visual experience that communicates credibility, innovation, and mission alignment. Clean layouts, purposeful imagery, and clear typography make complex food science approachable.

The content architecture serves multiple audience types simultaneously. Retail consumers get compelling product stories. Foodservice buyers find specifications and certifications. Institutional partners understand the mission and impact. Each audience gets what they need without wading through irrelevant information.

Then we built it on Storyblok, a headless CMS that combines power with usability. The visual editor means their marketing team can update product information, publish news, manage content across audience segments, and launch new initiatives - all without touching code.

The Results:

The collaboration resulted in a website that does exactly what it should: educates audiences effectively, reflects the brand authentically, scales as distribution expands, and empowers the internal team.

Their marketing team has complete control. When they expand to new retail partners, they add the information immediately. When they launch new products, they publish the content themselves. When media coverage happens, they update the press section without waiting.
