Role Description
As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will build enterprise-grade headless and composable web solutions across concurrent client projects, and you will share the architecture load with our Senior Full Stack Architect so technical direction never rests on a single person. You take on responsibility, not just tickets.
You'll write production code across front-end and back-end, turn complex requirements into well-designed and testable systems, and raise the technical floor of the whole team through peer review, documentation, and the standards we hold. You'll partner closely with our Architect and coordinate with our distributed development team.
You'll experiment with AI developer tooling to accelerate delivery and help the team build faster. This role rewards genuine curiosity about how AI changes both how we build and what we build.
This is a full-time role, open to candidates anywhere. Toronto-based candidates can work hybrid; everyone else works fully remote. Wherever you're based, you'll overlap at least half of your working hours with Eastern Time for team collaboration.
What You'll Do
Build & Architect
You will design and build headless CMS solutions on platforms like Contentful, Storyblok, and Agility CMS, producing reusable, testable, efficient code across multiple projects at once. You'll take on complex builds end to end and share deep technical decisions with the Architect, so the team is never blocked on one person for direction.
AI & Automation
You will put AI developer tools to work across code generation, testing, and documentation to improve velocity and delivery timelines. You'll prototype quickly, turning key project ideas into working proofs, and help identify where automation earns its place in how we build.
Collaboration & Quality
You will run and receive peer code reviews, maintain strong technical documentation, and hold quality across the codebase against the standards our Architect sets. You'll coordinate with the distributed development team, the project manager, and designers to keep work moving and unblocked.
Team Collaboration & Standards
You will collaborate with the team to advance our technical practices alongside the Architect, and help establish the setup, documentation, and standards the whole team builds on.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
You bring 6+ years of strong professional experience with JavaScript, React, CSS, and Node.js, building user-centric systems that are both accessible and performant. You have proven builds on headless and composable CMS platforms (Storyblok, Contentful, Agility) using Jamstack and headless architecture, and you bring a working knowledge of user interface design principles and web accessibility (WCAG). You are experienced in server management and deployment across environments like Azure, Netlify, and Vercel, and you produce strong technical documentation. You learn new platforms and frameworks fast, and you actively test new AI developer tools.
Leadership & Communication
You collaborate well with client-facing teams and with UX and UI designers, and you communicate clearly in writing and in person. You do what you say and own your misses. You bring no-ego craftsmanship, you're solution-oriented and autonomous, and you're both kind and direct.
Strong Assets
Jira familiarity, enterprise CMS exposure beyond the core stack, and prior mentoring or team-lead experience are all valuable and support a path toward Senior Team Lead.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
