A Global Faith-Based Enterprise faced a significant challenge in managing their online presence efficiently. The existing website required technical expertise for content updates and lacked the ability for non-technical staff to make changes easily. This dependency on engineers for even minor content adjustments was not only resource-intensive but also hindered the organization's ability to respond quickly to their community's needs.

Site migrated to Magnolia CMS
Component system

Phase 1 migrates the site to Magnolia CMS, reducing reliance on engineers. Phase 2 adds innovative components and personalization technology for tailored content.

Throughout the migration, we considered phased or full-site shifts, driven by component sharing and priority page migration. We covered Magnolia's Headless Configuration, including Data Architecture, Taxonomy, Page Templates, and Content. This entailed standardizing components, optimizing SEO, and integrating React components. Rigorous testing and deployment ensured a successful outcome.

UI / UX

Technology

Our project featured a robust tech stack with Magnolia's headless architecture, NodeJS, Express, React, and SASS for server and client-side wizardry. Magnolia CMS and Fastly ensured efficient content management and distribution. YouTube shone as our primary video delivery platform, backed by hosted MP4 for a resilient online presence.

Strategy

We were excited about the potential for Dotfusion to expand its role beyond Phase 1 and 2, becoming strategic design and development partners with the Faith Based Enterprise. While the partnership's business structure was being determined, we looked forward to collaboration in areas such as digital foresight and innovation, UX/UI style, Magnolia component development, and system integrations.

Design

In Phase 2 for the Faith Based Enterprise, we emphasized a design-focused approach. We gathered design requirements, defined personas and traits, and created a design-centric personalization manifesto for pages and components. Subsequently, we conducted rigorous design testing and achieved seamless deployment while addressing mobile rendering issues and infusing a design-oriented regionalization of content to enhance the platform's design and functionality.
